Club Mission Statement

Auburn Flycasters is a community based organization dedicated to bringing together men and women to mutually experience the joys of flyfishing.  Open to persons of all experience levels, Auburn Flycasters seeks to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for its members through new friendships, education, conservation, and memorable fishing experiences.

Guest Speakers Wanted!

The club is always looking for new and interesting guest speakers to present at our monthly meetings. If you are or know of someone who fits this description, please write, e-mail, or call us (see contact info below).

Your Club Needs You

Several positions are vacant and need someone to step forward and volunteer:

  • Program/speaker coordinator
  • Fishout leaders
  • Casting instruction coordinator
Talk to any of the officers for more information or to volunteer.

June Fishout to Fuller Lake

Bob Dillman will lead a fishout to Fuller Lake on Sat. June 27th. We'll meet in the upper parking lot (near the boat ramp) at 9am. Contact Bob to sign up or for more details.

Bill & Dave's Excellent July Fishout to Paradise Lake

Bill Heyenbruch and Dave Flood will lead a 3 day backpacking fishout to Paradise Lake July 3rd thru 5th. Launching from Donner Summit, we'll hike an easy 7 miles to our base camp at Paradise Lake. Most of our trek will be along the famed Pacific Crest Trail. We'll be a short distance to several other lakes that will make great day hikes. Contact Bill or Dave to sign up or for more details.

Map to Meeting Location

Auburn Flycasters general meeting is held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the "Beecher" room at the Placer County Library at 350 Nevada St., Auburn (off I-80 Nevada St. exit). Visitors are always welcome and are encouraged to come and enjoy our presentations on angling, flytying, equipment, entomology, conservation, and adventures.
